Today is the last day and I didn't make the challenge. I knew I wouldn't since we were up in the mountains and although I could have ridden all days I couldn't justify the time away from family. I figure that I wouldn't be able to complete this challenge until my kids are older and I'm not racing cyclocross. At least I was able to ride all four bikes at least once.
Good bloggage. Sad you didnt make it. I know how hard it is with family and kids. beautiful area you get to ride in though. Good job.

Mikey, how is the overlap on the rocklobster? Does the bike handle good when rode in single track?
ReplyDeleteThere is no toe overlap on the Rock Lobster. When Paul (Rock Lobster) took my measurements, he asked what I thought about toe overlap. I told him I don't like toe overlap but not if it messes up the handling. He took my measurements along with shoe size and where I mount my cleats and was able to make it work. The bike handles great on smooth singletrack and in cyclocross races (lots of turns). On rocky single track it is limited just like any other rigid bike with narrower tires. After 2 years, I still love it. If I did it again, I would likely get disc brakes though since I do ride single tracks where it would be nice. For me, you can't go wrong with a Rock Lobster.
